Because Time (K\u0101la) is not just a measure. In San\u0101tana Dharma, K\u0101la is GOD.<\/p>\n

K\u0101la = Time = Death = Shiva<\/h4>\n

In Hinduism, Time is divine \u2014 not just a ticking clock.<\/p>\n

Time is the force that governs:
\n\u2014 Creation
\n\u2014 Change
\n\u2014 Decay
\n\u2014 Death<\/p>\n

Everything in the universe bends to K\u0101la. Even the gods.<\/p>\n

Bhagavad G\u012bt\u0101 11.32 \u2014 Krishna declares:<\/h4>\n

\u201ck\u0101lo\u2019smi loka-k\u1e63haya-k\u1e5bt prav\u1e5biddho\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI am Time, the great destroyer of worlds.\u201d<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t poetic metaphor.<\/p>\n

Krishna, the Supreme Being, identifies himself as Time \u2014 the force that devours everything.<\/p>\n

Time = Mah\u0101k\u0101la = Shiva in his Terrifying Form<\/h4>\n

Shiva is called Mah\u0101k\u0101la \u2014 the \u201cGreat Time\u201d \u2014 because he stands beyond time.<\/p>\n

He destroys the universe at the end of each cycle.<\/p>\n

The Mah\u0101k\u0101leshwar Jyotirlinga in Ujjain is named after this form.<\/p>\n

\u201cK\u0101lasya K\u0101la\u1e25 \u015aiva\u1e25\u201d \u2014 Shiva is the Time of Time itself.<\/p>\n

K\u0101la is not linear. It is cyclical.<\/h4>\n

In Vedic cosmology:<\/p>\n

\u2014 Time is a wheel (K\u0101lachakra)
\n\u2014 It moves in endless cycles
\n\u2014 yugas, kalpas, mah\u0101kalpas
\n\u2014 Death is not an end
\n\u2014 just a transition in time\u2019s spiral<\/p>\n

This cycle is called Sa\u1e41s\u0101ra \u2014 the wheel of birth & rebirth.<\/p>\n

Time is the force of Karma<\/h4>\n

Karma unfolds over time. <\/span><\/p>\n

You reap what you sow \u2014 not immediately, but inevitably.<\/span><\/p>\n

In that sense, K\u0101la is the executor of justice.<\/span><\/p>\n

K\u0101l\u012b \u2013 The Goddess of Time<\/h4>\n

The frightening Goddess K\u0101l\u012b is named after K\u0101la.<\/p>\n

She represents Time as destruction, which clears the way for rebirth.<\/p>\n

Wearing a garland of skulls, she reminds us: All egos are devoured by Time.<\/p>\n

K\u0101la in the Vedas<\/h4>\n

Atharva Veda 19.53.1:<\/p>\n

\u201cK\u0101la created all beings, K\u0101la supports them, and K\u0101la destroys them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cK\u0101la\u1e25 s\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e6di\u1e41 vis\u1e5bjata\u1e25 k\u0101la\u1e25 paalayati praj\u0101\u1e25 k\u0101la\u1e25 samharate vi\u015bvam\u201d<\/p>\n

Everything begins and ends in K\u0101la.<\/p>\n

Science meets San\u0101tana Dharma<\/h4>\n

Einstein proved that Time is not absolute.<\/p>\n

Hindus already knew that.<\/p>\n

Each loka (realm) in Hindu cosmology experiences time differently:<\/p>\n

\u2014 1 day in Svarga = 1 year on Earth
\n\u2014 1 day of Brahma = 4.32 billion Earth years<\/p>\n

Time is relative, cosmic, divine.<\/p>\n

K\u0101la is also Yama \u2013 the god of death<\/h4>\n

Yama doesn\u2019t just kill.<\/p>\n

He measures your life span \u2014 your Ayus \u2014 and brings the end when your K\u0101la is over.<\/p>\n

He holds a ledger of your karma. And K\u0101la collects the dues.<\/p>\n

How does one transcend K\u0101la?<\/h4>\n

Only the \u0100tman is beyond Time. <\/span><\/p>\n

You\u2019re not your body, or your memories. You are the eternal witness \u2014 untouched by K\u0101la. <\/span><\/p>\n

This is why moksha means: <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
