Honey will also coat the throat, making your sore throat less sore and more easy to manage (4).<\/p>\n<p>Adding a bit of ginger will also help reduce inflammation\u00a0and ease the pain.<\/p>\n<h3>Carrot Cough Syrup<\/h3>\n<p>It\u2019s actually quite sweet and easy to stomach!<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/2 kg of carrot<\/li>\n<li>3-4 tablespoons of honey<\/li>\n<li>2 teaspoon of freshly chopped ginger<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Instructions:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Cut the carrots into small pieces and place into a small saucepan and add water until they are completely covered.<\/li>\n<li>Cook over medium heat.<\/li>\n<li>Once it\u2019s boiling, add the ginger and boil until the carrots are soft.<\/li>\n<li>Strain through a fine mesh strainer over a large bowl, do not throw away the water.<\/li>\n<li>Blend the carrots and ginger until smooth.<\/li>\n<li>When the water is lukewarm, add honey and stir until it\u2019s dissolved.<\/li>\n<li>Add water to the mashed carrots and blend again until smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Store in the refrigerator for up to a week.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>How To Use<\/h3>\n<p>Take 3-4 spoons of the syrup every day until you no longer experience coughing.
